ONE HUB FOR 16 CONNECTED DETECTORS: The connected smoke detector requires an Apple HomeKit-enabled hub to connect to the network. One HomeKit-enabled hub controls 16 Meross devices simultaneously. Please check if you have an Apple HomeKit-compatible Meross hub in your home before purchasing. Please note: This model (GS559AH) already includes the hub. If you do not need an additional hub, you can purchase the model without a hub (GS559A) to complete your installation.
SMOKE AND OVERHEATING DETECTOR: The smart alarm monitors not only smoke but also excessive temperatures (54–70°C). The fire alarm is also triggered if the temperature rises rapidly and enters the detection area faster than smoke. Faster alarms give people more time to react and escape. Meross smoke detectors comply with EN 14604 and EN 50130 standards and are certified by Intertek and SGS.
CONNECTED FUNCTION: The smoke detectors are connected to each other, so when one alarm detects smoke, all other alarms will activate. If there's an alarm in the living room and another in the bedroom, a fire in the living room will also wake up the occupants in the bedroom. Whether you use the Meross app, Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, or SmartThings, this feature works as long as all alarms are paired with the same hub.
REAL-TIME ALARM NOTIFICATION AND REPLACEABLE BATTERY: The Meross app or Apple Home will send you a notification when the smart smoke detector detects smoke or high temperatures, when the batteries are low, or when there is a product error. The smart alarm's batteries are replaceable and have a lifespan of approximately two and a half years. You can replace them with two AA 1.5V batteries.
TEST FUNCTION & TEST HISTORY: The smart smoke detector performs a self-test every 50 seconds to ensure it's functioning properly. If you want to test the alarm, simply tap your smartphone. Each test is recorded in the test history. The smoke detector is compatible with the Meross app, Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, and SmartThings, but some features are exclusive to the Meross app.
