“Yandex” presented the first devices for smart home that support the Matter standard.
Yandex has released new devices for Smart Home with Alice - LED strip and smart socket. These devices were the first to support the Matter over Wi-Fi protocol, which allows them to be controlled via voice commands and combined with other Matter-enabled devices to create different scenarios.
The LED strip can be used, for example, to illuminate or decorate an interior by placing it above a kitchen countertop or in a living room to create a cozy atmosphere. The strip offers a choice of 16 million colors as well as the ability to adjust the temperature and brightness of the light. The user can switch on one of the ready-made light modes or create their own. The strip is 3 meters long and can be shortened or extended with an extension cable and integrated with other smart home devices.
The smart socket allows you to turn ordinary household appliances into smart ones. It is made of fireproof plastic, which ensures the safety of the connected devices. For example, the socket switches off automatically if the mains voltage or the power of the devices exceeds the permissible values. In addition, it can be remotely controlled via the Home with Alice app, and users can be notified when the socket is switched off. The socket is available in white and black.
Yandex's new smart home devices can be purchased from Yandex Market and other retailers. To integrate these devices into the smart home system, you need a speaker with Alice or Yandex Hub.
