Water meter for retrofitting to standard taps.
Ideal as a washing machine shelf.
Includes a double screw connection for connecting to the faucet in 3/4 inch (approx. 26 mm). Supplied with all required seal diameters.
Approved in the EU in 2019.

Installation instructions

Double screw connection on one side of the closed faucet with a rigid end, use the first flat gasket from the package. Place the counter on the second screw connection in the direction of flow (note the arrow on the housing!). Use the second gasket from the enclosed package. Do not use hemp or Teflon tape, as this will clog the counter. Tighten the screw connection firmly and align the counter as desired. The counter can be rotated 360 degrees for this purpose. Tighten the screws using a suitable tool. Check that the assembly is secure. Seal: To do this, pull the wire through the openings on the screw connection and on the counter, attach the crimp seal, and close it. Fit the hose nozzle with the seal onto the outlet. Perform a function test and slowly open the faucet.

The calibration period for water meters in Germany is 6 years

The calibration period is regulated in Annex 7 of the Measurement and Calibration Ordinance.

According to MessEC § 34 (2), the validity period of the calibration is one year or more, the validity period begins at the end of the calendar year in which the meter was calibrated.

For example, a water meter with a calibration year of 2024 plus six years at the end of the year is valid until December 31, 2030.

The purchase or installation date is irrelevant; only the calibration year marked on the meter is relevant. In this example, the meter must be replaced with a newly calibrated device by December 31, 2030 at the latest.
