Product overview

The smart relay expands existing electrical installations with versatile control and automation functions. Various devices such as garage doors, irrigation and ventilation systems, pumps, sockets, or lighting systems can be reliably switched via a potential-free contact.
Additionally, the Wi-Fi relay can extend the range of the smart home system by providing a stable connection to the controller for devices in more distant areas such as basements or outbuildings.
Installation is flexible and can be done behind existing switches or pushbuttons, as well as in junction boxes. A minimum depth of 50 mm is required for flush mounting, but 60 mm is recommended for convenient installation. Suitable weatherproof housings (e.g., IP66) also allow for outdoor use.
The operation is particularly versatile: devices can be controlled directly at the switch, via app, via voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri, as well as via automations, scenarios and time programs.
Two operating modes are available for different applications. In on/off mode, the relay functions like a classic switch and is ideal for continuously switched devices such as pumps, lights, or sockets. In impulse mode, it acts as a momentary switch and emits only a short pulse, making it particularly suitable for applications such as garage doors or stairwell lighting.
A compatible controller is required for integration into the Bosch Smart Home System.
