The smart door and window sensor reliably detects open doors and windows, as well as vibrations, and displays the current status in the app at all times. Additionally, the integrated button can be used to trigger actions and scenarios in the smart home.
In conjunction with the alarm system, the sensor offers effective burglary protection. Even attempts to disturb windows can be detected and, in an emergency, trigger an alarm to report unauthorized access at an early stage.
When the alarm system is activated, the sensor automatically checks open doors and windows and indicates any potential security vulnerabilities. This ensures that the system can be armed correctly.
In addition, the sensor helps save energy: Open windows are detected and cause smart radiator thermostats to be automatically turned down in order to reduce heating costs.
For use within the Bosch Smart Home System, a Bosch Smart Home Controller or Controller II is required. Included in the package are two door/window sensors, two magnetic parts with spacers, a CR123A battery, adhesive strips, and installation instructions.
