AMG8833 Infrared Temperature Sensor Module 8x8 Thermal Imaging Sensor
Ready to ship
Product description:
more details
- We have code to use this breakout board on a Raspberry Pi or a compatible board (sensor via I2C), or code for Python. On the Raspberry Pi, we were able to interpolate the 8x8 grid using the SciPy image processing library and achieve very good results!
- This component measures temperatures from 0 °C to 80 °C with an accuracy of ±2.5 °C. It can detect people at a distance of up to 7 meters. With a maximum frame rate of 10 Hz, it is ideally suited for building your own person detectors or mini thermal imaging cameras.
- The AMG8833 sensor is the new generation of 8x8 thermal imaging infrared sensors and offers higher performance than its predecessor, the AMG8831. The sensor exclusively supports I2C and features a configurable break pin that can be triggered when a single pixel exceeds or falls below a user-defined threshold.
- Enhance your project with a thermal imaging camera using the AMG8833 Grid-EYE breakout board from Tronixlabs Australia! This sensor consists of 8x8 infrared thermal sensors. Connected to your microcontroller (or another interface), it delivers 64 individual infrared temperature readings via I2C. It offers the performance of sophisticated thermal imaging cameras but is compact and simple enough for easy integration.
- To simplify usage, we've selected the solution and packaged it on a breakout board with a 3.3V regulator and level shifter. This allows you to use it with any 3V or 5V microcontroller or computer. Even better, all the groundwork has already been done – with code examples and supporting software libraries. So you only need a few lines of code to get started!
