Choosing dowels and screws correctly:

Mark positions with pins. Hammer and nail a small hole in the wall. Clamp a suitable masonry drill into the impact drill, clamp the drill at low speed, increase drilling speed, drill horizontally

Insert dowels into the holes. Tap in with a hammer
