Since almost 50% of fires start in the kitchen, it is important that we protect this room and are quickly warned of dangers.

FireAngel has designed its heat alarms to respond to a rapid rise in temperature rather than smoke. This makes them perfect for the kitchen as they will not respond to cooking fumes such as burnt toast or cooking processes that produce a lot of smoke. However, they will respond to extreme temperature rises such as those found in frying pan fires or tumble dryers.

They are also designed for utility rooms, garages and attics and provide protection without reacting to dust.

Easy attachment of the mounting plate for quick replacement

The heat detector has been designed to bring many installations up to date with FireAngel equipment - so it is perfect for replacing any HT-630 heat detectors you may already have installed. For a new installation or replacing a current FireAngel HT-630 heat detector, the mounting plate can be easily fitted using two screws (not included).

After installation, please test the heat detector by pressing the large central test button to ensure that the alarm is correctly installed and functioning.

Which alarms do I need to protect my family and my home?

We recommend installing a FireAngel heat detector in your kitchen, as well as smoke detectors in all bedrooms, children's rooms, hallways and living areas. You can also install heat detectors in the attic and garage. Install these together with carbon monoxide detectors for complete protection.

It is important to remember that the sensors in all detectors deteriorate over time. At FireAngel, we recommend replacing all smoke and heat detectors every 10 years.
