- Requirements for Apple users: iOS, iPadOS 16.1 (or higher), 2.4 GHz and an essential hub for the platform, such as Apple TV 4K (2nd or 3rd generation) or HomePod Mini.
- Requirements for Android users: The Tuya app for Android does not currently support Matter. You need Android 8.1 or higher, 2.4 GHz, and a hub for your chosen platform, such as Samsung SmartThings Hub v3, Amazon Echo (4th generation), Google Nest Hub (2nd generation), Nest Hub Max, or Nest Wifi Pro.
- Energy consumption meter: Smart plugs record electricity consumption. With the integrated electricity meter in the plugs, the Meross app provides real-time reports on the electricity consumption of your devices as well as historical data. It can also measure electricity generation and is therefore suitable for monitoring photovoltaic systems on balconies.
- About MATTER: The MATTER protocol is supported by leading ecosystem platforms such as Apple, Google, Alexa, Samsung, and over 500 global companies. No third-party app installation, cloud account registration, or tracking is required.
- Offline control: Matter devices can communicate and control each other seamlessly within the local network – completely without an internet connection. Alternatively, Wi-Fi smart plugs can still be controlled via the Meross app. Your smartphone and your smart device must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Adapt your schedule and routine to your needs using the Meross app. Sign in with the same Meross account as your family, and devices can be shared.
- Easy setup: Scan the code, and you're done. The standardized and simple protocol enables the seamless implementation and use of Matter devices. A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and a smartphone with iOS 16.1 or higher, or Android 8.1 or higher, are required. Patent number: 009198401-0001
- Please be sure to use the latest version of the Meross app, as the electricity consumption measurement function is available free of charge within this app. Inform your customers regarding SmartThings integration that energy measurement is only possible via the Meross app. APPLE HOME COMPATIBILITY: If you experience problems integrating the Smart Plugs into Apple Home despite meeting the requirements, please follow the troubleshooting steps.
