If your computer does not already have bluetooth and you're running windows 10 or higher you can just plug this in and it'll work. However if you already have an older bluetooth device built into your computer from a wifi card or it's just part of your motherboard you'll need to disable it before using this one. If you have bluetooth and try to plug this one in you'll see errors about a driver in Device Manager.I went searching for drivers and there are none because they are built into windows. It wasn't until I plugged this dongle into a PC without bluetooth that I realized that it was working. That led my down the rabbit hole of troubleshooting and on a whim I disabled the legacy bluetooth on my motherboard and it worked perfectly on my initial PC.The device itself is small, it's the size of a medium sized flash drive. During use it gets relatively warm, but not hot. There are no Mac or Linux drivers. The dongle itself uses an ATS2851 chipset which means there is no support in home assistant as a bluetooth proxy either. Overall this dongle works well and is a nice upgrade for my bluetooth headphones and mouse.
