With the AirPods Max, Apple is expanding its popular headphone range to include a comfortable over-ear model with brilliant hi-fi playback, impressive 3D audio and the familiar magical simplicity of the AirPods. The robust stainless steel frame is padded with soft, breathable mesh and offers a comfortable fit for every head shape. Like its little brothers, the AirPods Max are no longer just headphones: Activate Siri by holding down the Digital Crown or simply say "Hey Siri" to use one of the many voice commands, such as retrieving messages or directions. A short press switches between transparency mode and active noise cancellation. The AirPods Max use eight integrated microphones to capture ambient noise and voices for interference-free audio playback and clear voice calls.

Connecting the AirPods Max is just as easy and magical as the entire AirPods family. They connect instantly to your iPhone or iPad with just a tap of a finger. Once paired, you can switch seamlessly between connected devices. If you take a call on your iPhone while music is playing from your iPad, the AirPods Max will automatically switch. Thanks to on-head detection, music playback is paused when you take the headphones off and resumed when you put them back on. With the AirPods Max, music playback is possible for up to 20 hours. When transporting, the soft Smart Case not only protects against scratches but also extends the battery life.

Thanks to the active noise cancellation, you can concentrate fully on your music, even in noisy environments: The microphones built into the headphones pick up disturbing ambient noises and then generate a corresponding counter-signal that makes the noise inaudible to your ears. This technology is much more effective than the headphones' sole ability to suppress external noise. No matter where you are, you can block out your surroundings and enjoy your favorite music in complete peace and quiet.

The completely closed design of these headphones means that there is little air permeability, but they offer powerful sound and rich bass. In addition, annoying outside noises are very well dampened. The reverse is also good insulation: outsiders can hardly hear your music.
