The LED star has a practical timer function: set the small black switch on the battery compartment to the middle position, then it lights up for 6 hours, then switches itself off and starts to light up again after 18 hours.
Each star is battery operated. They each require 2 x 1.5V AA LR06 batteries (batteries are not included).
